I have heard the question asked, "Who can watch my kids while I attend classes?"

American River College operates child care programs for student-parents who are continuing their education. There are six different location on and near the campus which serve infants 5 months of age up through 12 year old schoool aged children.

This program also offers opportunities for students in early childhood education, nursing, child development, and psychology to work with young children while pursuing their educational goals. These students provide an exceptional adult/child ratio and m any marvelous additional educational and exploratory experiences for the children.

The Children's Center is open on Monday through Thursday from 7:45am until 10:00pm and 7:45am until 4:00pm on Fridays, and during the summer semester it is open 7:45am until 4:00pm Monday through Thursday.

Students-parents must meet eligibility requirements regarding income and need as established by the State Department of Education/Office of Child Development.
